DPL is a new technology of permanent hair removal, with target pure wavelength , which works in a high repetition rate of short pulses ,by gradually heating the dermis to a temperature that effectively damages the hair follicles and prevents regrowth painlessly, while avoiding injury to the surrounding tissue. DPL laser machine comes with 530nm and 640nm wavelength treatment handles.
◎ Working Theory
DPL is a newest, upgraded version of IPL, it makes use of a source of broad-spectrum, visible light to reduce hair permanently. During the DPL treatment, light energy would be absorbed by the hair follicles. This causes the bulb and most of the hair shaft to be heated, thus destroying the hair producing structure – papilla.
Not all of our hair follicles are active at the same time, hence, only active hair follicles can be affected by the treatment. Inactive hair follicles can be treated as they become active over time. This means the treatment may need to be repeated few times in 6–8 week intervals, until the final, satisfactory result is obtained.
The DPL delivers light energy that gradually heats the skin by pulse stacking or a sliding technique until the ideal amount of energy is delivered to the hair root. This new technology heats the follicle gently and for longer-lasting results. This means the hair germ cells are directly targeted and permanently damaged in the active growth stage.
Hair follicles are not damaged by a single high-energy pulse as in laser or IPL but by repetitive application of low-energy pulses that raise the temperature of the dermis gradually and for longer. Most people say it just feels like a pleasant warm massage.
DPL has the ability to clean the pores and tightens the skin if it is aged, it uses tender pulses of energy at a relatively higher repeated rate. This makes the skin gets heated gently. The slow build of energy helps in making the procedure more comfortable and keeping skin trauma at a minimum. It combines low fluence laser pulses with contact cooling to make the experience comfortable.

1. Is DPL Hair Removal Truly Permanent?
With DPL, you can maintain permanent hair reduction. This is due to the fact that hairs grow in cycles and only those in their active growth phase will be treated with this method; however, some may regrow but should appear thinner and lighter than before.
It is essential to remember that not all hair types and skin tones will benefit from DPL treatment. The best candidates for positive results are dark, coarse hairs.
